No, you do not need to take any special vaccinations or medicines for your trip to Bonaire. Fortunately, there are no scary diseases and no malaria.

No, as a Dutch citizen you do not need a visa for a trip to Bonaire. Only if you decide to stay longer than 6 months do you have to register as a resident of Bonaire.
Do I need travel insurance?
We advise you to contact your own travel insurance company. Each airline has a different offer package. Check to be sure whether volunteer work is covered.
How do I know which trip is right for me?

Can I just drink the water from the tap?
Yes, the water from the tap is very drinkable. Tap a bottle of water from the tap, put it in the fridge and you have delicious cold water all day long.
Is there 220 volts on Bonaire?
There is a 110 volt network on Bonaire. We do have 220 volts in the rooms of your stay.
Can I pay with my debit card?
Yes, that is very well possible on Bonaire. You can actually pay anywhere with your debit card. Don't forget to put him on world cover. There are also plenty of ATM's if you need cash. And good to know: on Bonaire you pay with American dollars.
What should I really not forget to pack?
On Bonaire you can actually get everything. There is an Albert Heijn and a Da drugstore. And If you would like to purchase a toaster, you can contact the Blokker. Because everything has to be imported, everything is a bit more expensive than in the Netherlands. So if you have some space left in your suitcase, I would especially pack your swimming trunks and the sunscreen.
